Bee talks, workshops and courses - Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia
I love to give well-structured, science-informed workshops about bee conservation, wild bees, and working with honey bees! These events are formatted as “Lunch & Learn” talks (45 minutes plus 15 minutes questions), bee interpretive walks, multi-hour introductions to natural beekeeping, and longer-length courses.
Beekeeping is an infinitely complex craft. There is much variation among styles, hive systems, climates, seasons, and of course the bees themselves. Good preparation and course work, including oral transmission from a local beekeeper, is indispensable for new hobbyists.
I also offer "Live at your Hive" individual consulting and support for hobby beekeepers.
